Gray’s Creek Elementary School takes pride in being recognized as the first internationally themed elementary school in Cumberland County Schools. Along with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, our international focus will offer students, staff, parents, and our community; knowledge of other world regions and cultures, awareness of international and global issues, skills to work effectively in cross-cultural environments, ability to communicate in multiple languages and mutual respect for other cultures and people.

Gray’s Creek Elementary School rests in a learning community that supports all students of all backgrounds and ability levels, fostering self-confidence, self-discipline, and self-worth in every student, enabling them to realize success in school and beyond.  A strong sense of community is based on the values of mutual respect, sincere compassion, shared responsibility, and continual self-reflection.

Our goal is to prepare children to become Global Citizens of the 21st Century. To provide them with the knowledge, skills and values needed to navigate through an increasingly competitive, multilingual and multicultural world. To offer a world-class education that will inspire a lifelong love of learning, a commitment to service for others, and a strong sense of empathy and compassion.
