Turkey TrotGrays Creek Elementary School PTA will be hosting their 6th Anuual Turkey Trot 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run.  The event will be held November 18, 2017.  The 10K will begin at 8:00am, 5K will begin at 8:05am with 1 mile to follow.  This is a non-profit organization that will use the funds to enrich our school and community.  Cash prizes will be given to top finishers in the 10K and 5K.  There are also grand prizes for top 3 female and male finishers along with prizes 12 age brackets for both male and female top three finishers.  In 2014 we gave out over $2500 in prizes!!  Each participant in the 10K/ 5K registered by November 4th, 2017 will receive a finshers medal and an event shirt.  1 mile participants will have the option to run for the low cost of $15 to include an event shirt.  Price is $35 for 10K/ $30 for 5K/ $15 for 1 mile.

Red Ribbon Week

 

 

 

 

Next week, October 23-31, is Red Ribbon Week!
We will kick off the week wearing red on Monday.

Monday- Wear red
Tuesday– Sock it to drugs (Wear your crazy socks!)
Wednesday– Drugs are tacky (Wear a tacky outfit!)
Thursday– Put a lid on drugs (Wear your favorite hat!)
Friday– Team up against drugs (Wear your favorite sports shirt or jersey!)

Walk to school day
On October 4, 2017 Gray’s Creek Elementary School will celebrate National Walk to School Day!
Students and parents may walk the track from 8:00a.m.-8:45a.m.
Snacks & water will be provided by PTA.
